Channing M. ThomasChanning was admitted to the Virginia Bar in 2016. Channing is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Campbell University School of Law and currently practices criminal defense, civil litigation, and cases on appeal.Throughout law school, Channing worked with Justice Elizabeth McClanahan with the Supreme Court of Virginia, Judge Ann Maria Calabria with the North Carolina Court of Appeals, the North Carolina Innocence Inquiry Commission. Following graduation, Channing worked on family law matters in Harrisonburg, Virginia where she briefed a matter for the Supreme Court of Virginia in before returning to Southwest Virginia.Channing grew up in Bristol, Virginia where she attended St. Anne's Catholic School. She is an now an active member with the St. Anne's Catholic Church, and she serves on the boards of Girls, Inc. and Abuse Alternatives.
